Severed Tongue Truffles For Halloween
Here it is. My one really gross Halloween treat this year. I don't know where this idea came from and I don't want to think about which part of my brain this originated from because that would be just scary.
If you can bring yourself to make these, they are as simple to make as they are disgusting. Just whip up your favorite white chocolate truffle recipe using white almond bark instead of white chocolate. I used this recipe.
Before putting the truffle mixture in the fridge to harden, I tinted it flesh color using peach paste food coloring. When the truffles had hardened, I scooped them out forming the tongues with my hands, placed them on a plate and covered the large end of the truffle with red food coloring, smearing it on the plate for an extra bloody effect.
Simple. Disgusting and, if you are my husband, funny. Dr. humor. Jeesh.
