Blogs I ❤

by Lora Wiley-Lennartz

I have special love for expat food bloggers.  Besides the adventure of discovering a foreign culture and navigating the insanity of a new government bureaucracy, they understand the comedy and frustration of adapting one’s kitchen and recipes to ingredient availability limitations of a foreign country. And having to do it in a whole new language.

However, there is no way I could begin to list all of the food bloggers who’ve inspired and informed me, taught me new tips and tricks, gave me confidence, provided shopping tips, supplied a much needed food porn fix and shared recipes that allowed me to make holiday and celebration meals impressive.

They’ve also made made me laugh hard enough to squirt decaf out of my nose, nod my head in agreement, sympathize and empathize with and, in some cases, moved me to tears.  The ones listed below collectively have done all of it.

I have used many of their their recipes. Maybe not for a blog post, but for the personal enjoyment of meine familie.

This is starting to sound like an Academy Awards speech.  I can see the red light is on.  OK, getting off the stage now. Skip on down to the list now, if you would please….
