Thanksgiving weekend I had several people over for dinner and the entire weekend had dinner and overnight guests coming and going at our Pennsylvania house. It was sort of like running and B&B and I loved it.
By Sunday evening at the end of the long weekend my goal was not to have to shlep tons of food back to the city. So in addition to sending leftover packages home with people, I baked with leftover ingredients in the race to empty the fridge.
I used Jamie's recipe to the letter but swapped out white chocolate chips for the semi sweet in the scone recipe and used white chocolate instead of unsweetened chocolate in the glaze as well and added loud cranberries to the mix. The flavors all came together beautifully.
Cranberry, Coffee, White Chocolate Chip Scones
Follow this recipe from My Baking Addiction. Substitute white chocolate for semi sweet in the scone recipe and add 1 cup of fresh cranberries.
Swap out the unsweetened chocolate for white chocolate in the glaze.
